The Crafty Catsman

The Crafty Catsman

The xTool X1 has been in our workshop since September 2026 with its 55W CO₂, 20W diode, and 60W MOPA sources installed, and we have spent the weeks since then testing it. xTool supplied this review unit.

Five workshop projectsShared by The Crafty Catsman
01

Cut the shape

The X1 cuts the plywood blanks, walls, trim and hanging holes. Each project keeps its material and dimensions with its own build notes.

02

Print while the parts are flat

The E1 adds color and, where selected, raised detail. Printed white underlayers and clear-window diffusion use different recipes.

03

Check the real pieces

Photos show the physical output. Fit, adhesion, handling and later design changes still need their own checks.

  • xTool X1
  • eufyMake E1

These notes describe our X1 and E1 builds. Use the settings as records of those runs and test your own material before repeating them.

From our workshop

Cut the parts, print the details, make something to keep.

These five projects started in our workshop with nominal 3 mm basswood, cut on the xTool X1 and printed on the eufyMake E1. The photographs show physical builds and printed pieces, with the work still to check called out beside each project.

The project notes preserve the settings recorded for those particular runs. A printer’s relief setting is not a measurement of the finished texture, and the latest downloadable files may include changes that the earlier photographs do not show.

These photographs show X1-cut pieces with E1-printed finishes. We have not printed these designs on the O1 Omni yet.
