Functional filament by real workshop job
A drill jig and a soft machine foot can both be functional parts. That does not make the same filament right for both. Describe the work first, then check the exact product and printer requirements.
Existing spool cutouts identify material lanes; they are not test-result photographs.
There is no single best filament for every functional part. A crisp indoor jig, a workshop clamp, an outdoor cover, a flexible bumper, and a heat-stressed fixture ask for different properties and printer requirements. Use the job picker as a starting point, then verify the exact filament page, printer limits, load, environment, and safety needs.
Before the material name
Geometry, layer direction, wall count, infill, fasteners, print quality, and the actual environment still matter. A material label cannot validate a part by itself.
