Milwaukee Confirms Three Extended-Reach M12 Ratchets
Milwaukee's announcement covers a 1/4-inch 3058-20, 3/8-inch 3059-20, and 1/2-inch 3055-20. The extended neck and low-profile head are intended for bolts recessed inside engine bays and other tight mechanical spaces. All three run on the M12 battery system. Milwaukee lists 550 RPM and up to 45 ft-lb for the 1/4-inch model, 400 RPM and up to 70 ft-lb for the 3/8-inch model, and 300 RPM and up to 80 ft-lb for the 1/2-inch model. Those are manufacturer specifications, not our test results.
The socket size is only part of the choice. The 1/4-inch model emphasizes speed and access for smaller fasteners; the 3/8-inch model is the general-purpose middle lane; the 1/2-inch model trades speed for higher published torque.
