A $449 pinball controller for Quest players, with Steam Frame support still unconfirmed

X-Arcade’s store lists the Arcade2TV Pinball FX Edition, a single-player pinball controller made in collaboration with Zen Studios, at a $449 pre-order price for the controller alone or $549 with its pedestal, and shows $499 and $599 as compare-at prices. The pedestal alone is $100. X-Arcade estimates controllers will ship January to March 2027 and says pre-orders can be cancelled any time before shipment for a full refund. The Crafty Catsman has not handled, ordered or tested the controller.

Why it matters

Each controller ships with a manual code that redeems the Meta Quest version of Pinball FX VR after delivery; owners of the game can choose “Already own the game” instead, and X-Arcade says it refunds the game portion within 5–10 days. X-Arcade says Steam game redemption and controller compatibility for Steam Frame are under review and not guaranteed. PS VR2 support is planned but still in development, needs a separately sold Brook PS5 adapter, and the PS VR2 game is sold separately.

Buy for the headset you own today, not the one X-Arcade hopes to support+

X-Arcade lists two-stage flipper buttons, a spring-loaded analog plunger, accelerometer-based nudge in Pinball FX VR, four input modes (keyboard, D-Input, X-Input and a single-player pinball X-Input mode) and wired USB-C, Bluetooth or 2.4 GHz connections. The box holds the controller, a power supply, a 2.4 GHz dongle, a USB-C OTG cable, a quick-start card and the manual code. X-Arcade states a one-year warranty and publishes no dimensions or weight.

What the price covers, and what it does not: Shipping is extra: X-Arcade lists standard shipping of US$33 for the controller, US$77 with the pedestal and US$44 for the pedestal alone in the contiguous US, and buyers outside the US, Canada and UK pay any import duties. X-Arcade calls it an officially licensed X-Arcade × Zen Studios controller and handles its warranty and support, but no licence terms are published. The pedestal is the same stand X-Arcade uses for its Arcade2TV-XR decks.

What remains open:
  • When will X-Arcade confirm Steam Frame support and Steam game redemption?
  • When will a given pre-order ship inside the January to March 2027 window?
  • How much is the game-portion refund for owners who already have Pinball FX VR?

Wait for confirmation if:You play on Steam Frame or PS VR2, need the controller before spring 2027, or want independent reviews of the flippers, plunger and nudge first.

Consider the pre-order if:You play Pinball FX VR on Meta Quest, want physical flippers and a plunger, and accept an estimated January to March 2027 shipping window with cancellation before shipment.
