xTool confirmed on September 1, 2026 that our early X1 evaluation unit had shipped; arrival is expected mid-September 2026. The unit has not arrived, and hands-on testing has not begun. xTool sent this early X1 unit for review. xTool has no review or approval of our testing, results, or verdict. The configuration that arrives will determine which module-specific projects enter our protocol alongside checks of software continuity, repeatability, workshop fit, and installed cost.

xTool publicly describes X1 as a hybrid gantry-and-galvo system. Hybrid Motion is the name xTool gives the motion architecture that brings those two approaches together. xTool’s August 28 written release and September 1 Academy article both specify a 55W CO₂ laser for X1, resolving the conflicting 50W and 55W figures spoken during the livestream. xTool’s August 28 written release describes a built-in 20W diode, while its September 1 Academy article calls the 20W blue-diode galvo head optional. We are waiting for the final retail matrix before labeling it standard equipment. xTool’s August 28 written release lists Hybrid Motion processing speeds up to 6,000 mm/s. This is a manufacturer ceiling, not measured throughput. xTool publicly lists support for 30W Fiber, 60W MOPA, and 5W UV laser packs. Supported upgrade paths do not yet establish final retail package inclusion or timing.
