The September reveal now has a live pledge decision. ToolDance’s Kickstarter opened October 15 and is scheduled to end November 29. Its limited Super Early Bird base reward is US$2,999; every machine reward is a limited Super Early Bird tier. The reward cards list March 2027 estimated delivery and say shipping will be charged after the campaign.
We have not handled or tested X1. ToolDance’s specifications and campaign estimates do not establish independent machining results, reliability or a guaranteed delivery date. What to confirm for your own project
ToolDance still lists a 1,500 W spindle, up to 24,000 rpm, a nine-tool changer and a 400 × 265 × 180 mm work envelope. These are manufacturer specifications. The campaign offers rotary modules and either dust collection or flood cooling in different rewards; do not assume the base pledge includes them. Workholding, additional cutters and stock also need a budget. The reward cards and creator updates were checked, but destination rates and the full campaign FAQ could not be independently reopened for this update. Confirm those terms directly before pledging.
Who should investigate this next: Automatic tool changing may help with repeated multi-tool jobs, but a campaign price cannot prove finished-part quality or delivery reliability.
